The Muktinath Tour takes place in the Muktinath region of Nepal located in the mustang towards northeast of jomsom in the northern central part of Nepal. This region of Muktinath valley lies on the altitude of 3800 meters on the base of Thorong Las pass. The shrine of Muktinath is assorted with groove of trees, a Buddhist gompa, and the pagoda style temple of lord Vishnu. The Buddhist name the valley of muktinath as Chumig Gyatsa which means hundred waters and is one of the 24 tantric places of Buddhist.
The Muktinath temple is the one of the most antique settlements of Nepal dedicated to lord Vishnu of hindu religion. The temple is built in pagoda style incorporated of the statue of gold in the height of an adult person along with metal statues of goddess laxmi, janaki, saraswati, garuda, lava-kush and sapata rishis. This is the ancient sanctuary of 1815 of the hindu Buddhist dedicated to lord Vishnu of Hindu and Chenrezig of Buddhist at Chumig Gyatsa. The shrine of Muktinath is marked among eight scared shrines of lord Vishnu of Hindu religion and is among 108 Vaishnava Shrines. The palaces to see at muktinath temple are muktidhara, holy water ponds of laxmi and saraswati, Mharme Lha Khang Gomba of Guru Padmasambhava, Temple of Jwalamai, Sri Murthy Mahatma, temple of Swaminarayan, black stone fossils of the Jurassic park age known as Shaligram, monastery of Gomba Samba and others religious establishments. This region of muktinath has the enchanting views of Annapurna massifs along with Dhaulawagiri massifs in the distant region of Mustang which considers as one of the most beautiful places on the earth to visit once in lifetime.
There is difficulty of reaching to Muktinath valley due to bad weather conditions as it is the one of the most remote zone of Nepal. Generally travelers have to fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara and Pokhara to Jomsom Airport. The travelers can the walk from Jomsom or take a jeep to Muktinath.
